# Chapter 378: Crushing
As Lu Yuan unleashed the full force of his Stellar Laws, an aura far more terrifying than before radiated outward.
Sensing that overwhelming power, the King of Destruction and the King of Corruption — who had been brimming with confidence just moments ago — froze.
"What?!"
"Laws Rank?!"
They stared at Lu Yuan in the distance, disbelief etched into their faces.
As Descended Avatars, they had been in a state of gestation, but their true bodies were still alive and could receive information from the outside world. The King of Flesh had told them this human was only slightly stronger than his own incomplete Descended Avatar — still a considerable distance from Laws Rank. Powerful, certainly, but not invincible.
After all, having absorbed massive quantities of Cosmic Origin, the two of them were already slightly stronger than the King of Flesh's original Descended Avatar, even if their gestation wasn't fully complete. And there were two of them. They had been certain victory was theirs.
Yet the being before them had actually reached Laws Rank?!
It had been barely a year since the King of Flesh's Descended Avatar was destroyed. How had this human vaulted from below War God peak all the way to Laws Rank in such a short span?!
What on earth had happened during that time?
Neither the King of Destruction nor the King of Corruption could make sense of it.
Sensing the Laws Rank aura, Aberration energy surged around both Descended Avatars. Within the King of Destruction's green radiance churned a savage, blood-red power — ferocious and terrible. He opened his skeletal maw and fired a beam of intertwined red and green light at Lu Yuan.
Meanwhile, an eerie glow swirled within the King of Corruption's countless eyes as waves of sinister green light rippled outward toward Lu Yuan.
At full power, their combined auras shook the starfield, the sheer force grinding nearby asteroids to dust.
Nuxing, Yingu, and Jinka felt the pressure and went rigid, shock plain in their eyes.
*So powerful!*
They had heard tales of the King of Flesh's strength, but they had never experienced anything like it firsthand. Now, feeling it for themselves, they truly understood just how terrifying these so-called Kings among Aberrant Beasts were. Against even one such being, every War God in existence would need to join forces for a slim chance at victory — and even then, success was far from guaranteed.
And yet, these two powerhouses together still fell far short of Lu Yuan's aura.
That realization slowly steadied their nerves.
Lu Yuan watched the incoming attacks, expression blank. He raised his right hand and closed it gently.
In the next instant, the intertwined beam and the sinister green ripple alike disintegrated into nothing, leaving only faint motes of starlight drifting in their wake.
The King of Destruction and the King of Corruption stiffened. Then starlight erupted from within their bodies.
**BOOM!!**
The King of Destruction's body shattered into fragments of bone, while the King of Corruption burst apart into chunks of flesh.
The fragments squirmed and writhed, attempting to regenerate, but starlight enveloped them and locked every piece in place.
Lu Yuan smiled. Radiant Fire blazed to life around him.
The flames surged upward and engulfed every last shard of bone and scrap of flesh in an instant.
Threads of Aberration power were purified away. Both the King of Destruction and the King of Corruption unleashed shrill, furious psychic screams — waves of anguished rage that spread in every direction, reaching across half the Elf Domain.
Throughout the domain, countless elves on their respective worlds looked up in alarm.
"What was that sound?!"
"It sounded like something's death scream!"
"What could it be? There's something ominous about that shriek..."
Ordinary elves, of course, had no way of knowing what was happening. But at the teleportation plaza on Elemental Star, Bingling and a Stone Spirit Race War God exchanged glances, alarm flickering in their eyes.
Bingling spoke first. "Ruoshui said Brother Lu Yuan and Brother Nuxing would be coming our way soon, and told us to wait here for them... Could they have bypassed Elemental Star entirely?!"
The Stone Spirit Race War God said, "Should we go take a look?"
Bingling nodded, his expression grave. "Judging by those screams, something extraordinary is happening. It might well be Brother Lu Yuan's doing. We need to find out."
The two tore open space and vanished.
Radiant Fire raged on. The auras of the King of Destruction and the King of Corruption weakened steadily, their psychic screams fading until they vanished entirely.
Lu Yuan's expression remained calm. After a while longer, he extinguished the flames.
Gazing at the empty space where the two Kings had been, he exhaled slowly, a touch of wonder in his breath.
*Back then, killing the King of Flesh took everything I had. And now I've destroyed two Descended Avatars — each at least as strong as he was, maybe stronger — without breaking a sweat.*
Laws Rank and everything below it were truly worlds apart. With Stellar Laws at his command, he had been an utterly irresistible force against those Descended Avatars.
Nuxing, Yingu, and Jinka stared at the now-quiet void, slowly snapping out of their daze. The three exchanged bewildered glances.
Yingu's mouth twitched, his expression strange. "...That's it? It's over?!"
Nuxing and Jinka looked equally lost. Given how overwhelming the two Kings' auras had been, they had expected Lu Yuan to face at least some difficulty. Instead, it had ended as easily as snuffing out a candle — so fast that none of them had even had time to process it.
They weren't the only ones caught off guard. At the Aberrant Spirit Legion headquarters, Spark and Baishi had just rushed out of the palace only to witness their two Lords being purified by Radiant Fire.
They stood rooted to the spot alongside the Gold Elf Race aberrated War God and Meihong, equally dumbstruck.
*What?*
*What just happened?*
*The two Lords — how can they just be gone?*
They had been about to beg for a blessing, to help the two Lords complete their gestation. And now it was over before they could even make the request?
The Gold Elf Race War God and Meihong's minds went blank, unable to fathom how everything had unraveled so completely.
A deathly silence fell. After a moment, Meihong was the first to recover. A flash of terror crossed her eyes, and she sent a telepathic message to those around her:
"Run! Split up!"
The others snapped back to their senses. If they fled together, there was no chance of outrunning this terrifying human — he would sweep them all up in one net. But if they scattered, perhaps at least one of them might escape.
Their eyes lit up and they turned to flee.
But they discovered that their bodies disagreed with their brains. Their minds screamed at them to move, yet their limbs refused to obey, locked rigidly in place.
"This is—"
These War Gods were experienced enough to recognize what had happened. They had been immobilized.
Despair surfaced in their eyes. In the next moment, golden Radiant Fire descended from above.
In the vacuum of space.
Gazing at the distant asteroid still wreathed in Radiant Fire, Jinka murmured, almost in a daze, "It's over?"
Lu Yuan turned back with a smile. "The War Gods of the Aberrant Spirit Legion and the Aberrant Beast Nest should all be dead now. Combined with those two Descended Avatars, even if the Aberration organizations have any remnants left in the universe, they'd be Battle Saint level at most. Hardly a threat, wouldn't you say?"
Nuxing and the other two nodded slowly.
Yingu shook his head, his expression conflicted. "What we spent hundreds of millions of years failing to accomplish, you finished in moments, Brother Lu Yuan. Truly..."
Nuxing, Yingu, and Jinka exchanged glances, each wearing a bitter smile tinged with a sense of inadequacy. Some things were better left uncompared — comparison only made the gap more painfully obvious.
Then Jinka remembered something. "Right — now that the Aberrant Beast Nest has been eradicated, Brother Lu Yuan, come back with us to the Beast Domain afterward. We'll give you those two Hearts of Laws. If you can comprehend more Laws, then even against the Aberrant Beast Mother Nest, we should be safe, right?"
Lu Yuan smiled. "I'll do my best."
Nuxing spoke up. "Oh, and Lu Yuan — the Aberrant Spirit Legion has been wiped out too. We still need to find the Elf Race people and have them hand over their Hearts of Laws as well."
Lu Yuan smiled at that, then sensed something and glanced into the distance.
Starlight flickered, and Bingling along with a Stone Spirit Race War God appeared suddenly in the void. The two had been tearing through space, racing toward this location — and finding themselves abruptly deposited in open vacuum, they froze, eyes wide with shock, scanning their surroundings warily.
Only after spotting Lu Yuan and the other three did they relax.
"Brother Lu Yuan — it really is you!" Bingling exclaimed.
He looked toward the distant asteroid still wreathed in Radiant Fire. "Those screams earlier felt wrong. So it was you wiping out the Aberrant Spirit Legion? Is it done?"
Lu Yuan nodded with a smile. "The Aberrant Spirit Legion is no more. I'd say I've fulfilled my promise."
Joy surged through Bingling and the Stone Spirit Race War God.
"Wonderful! Wonderful!" Bingling said. "Our headquarters won't have to worry about a knife in the back anymore."
Even Jinka and Yingu nodded in agreement. The Blood of Machinery incident had left them all on edge, dreading the same thing happening to their own people.
Then Bingling turned to Lu Yuan. "Since you've helped us eradicate the entire Aberrant Spirit Legion, we certainly won't go back on our word. We'll hand over those three Hearts of Laws to you right away!"
Lu Yuan didn't refuse. He nodded with a smile. "Then I thank the Elf Race for their generosity."
*Five Hearts of Laws from the Elf Race and Beast Race combined, plus two from the Mechanical Kingdom — seven in total. The one I already used came from Senior Mirage Dragon. Seven Hearts of Laws... I wonder how many more Laws I can comprehend with them.*
A spark of anticipation kindled within him.
