# Chapter 372: Heightened Power
The stellar phantoms before their transformation had already pushed Nuxing to his limits. Now, the transformed phantoms contained Law mysteries of far greater profundity. When he tried to force his comprehension deeper, the Law Force within his body destabilized — a mild backlash.
Hearing Nuxing's words, Ruoshui froze, then her face lit up with delight.
"It's almost done... You're saying Yuan is about to comprehend the Laws?!"
Even Ruoshui's voice trembled slightly, caught between anticipation and disbelief.
After all, in hundreds of millions of years, no War God had ever comprehended the Laws.
But Lu Yuan?
In just a few years in the Land of Origin, he was on the verge of comprehending the Laws?
It seemed too surreal — like a dream.
Nuxing collected himself, gazing up at the stellar power in the sky. He squinted, then let out a long breath, his expression conflicted.
"If this trend continues, all I can say is... that kid genuinely has a strong chance of comprehending the Laws."
He shook his head with a rueful grin. "What a monster. I honestly have no idea how he does it."
"Isn't it better for Yuan to be stronger?" Ruoshui said with a light laugh.
Nuxing blinked, then nodded. "Fair point. It's just... his talent is terrifying. Even I can't help feeling a little jealous."
He realized that in Lu Yuan's presence, even someone who had been a War God for hundreds of millions of years could easily lose his composure.
At that moment, Nuxing stiffened. His brow furrowed as though he'd just noticed something.
He turned toward the distant Misfortune Wasteland, his voice sharp. "What's going on over there? Why is there such a powerful Aberration aura?"
Ruoshui snapped out of her elation at his words. She was annoyed with herself — she'd been so excited that she'd completely forgotten about it.
Her tone turned cold. "The Elf Race and Beast Race Aberration organizations are likely invading the Upper Layer of the Land of Origin. I need to stand guard for Yuan right now. Since you can no longer benefit from the phenomenon, go handle it."
A cold gleam flickered in Nuxing's eyes, followed by a sharp smile.
"So it's the Aberration organizations... The Heavenly Calamity Cult pulled the same stunt last time, and now they're at it again? Perfect — I've been wanting to test my new strength."
Even as he spoke, Nuxing transformed into a streak of starlight and vanished, hurtling into the distance at blinding speed.
Ruoshui watched the direction he'd gone, then turned her gaze back to the shifting stellar phantoms overhead. She drew a deep breath and continued standing guard over Lu Yuan.
Inside Sky-Mending City, the Gene Warriors had naturally noticed the changes in the phantoms above.
"What's happening?! Those stellar phantoms have been there for years without changing like this. Has something gone wrong with the War God who's comprehending the Laws?"
"Impossible! That's a War God we're talking about — how could something go wrong? Maybe their comprehension of the Laws has reached a new level!"
"If that's true... does that mean they have a chance of surpassing the War God rank?!"
The Battle Saints' eyes gleamed, their hearts surging with excitement. Even the fury brought on by the Aberration organization's invasion was momentarily overshadowed.
Outside the Training Hall, Yeye had been about to contact Tianming Sage when she froze. Li Qinghe and the others beside her were equally stunned.
Everyone looked up at the sky, eyes wide, momentarily at a loss.
Si Tingyu was the first to recover. She turned toward the Training Hall and said, "It's Yuan... Could he be about to break through?"
Small White glanced at Yeye, then back at the stellar phantoms, her eyes bright with excitement. "Yuan is incredible! If he breaks through, that would make him Laws Rank, wouldn't it?"
But they quickly tempered their excitement.
"The Aberration organization's invasion isn't over yet. Don't celebrate too early." Shuangyue folded her arms, her expression grave.
Wang Lingling smiled gently. "She's right. Yuan seems to be at a critical juncture right now. We can't let those Aberration forces disturb his comprehension."
Everyone agreed. Yeye's eyes flashed with resolve as she began contacting Tianming Sage.
Beside her, Anastasia chose to reach out to Gladys.
Above the Misfortune Wasteland.
A host of Elf Race aberration Saints were slaughtering Human Race Gene Warriors, while Spark floated in the air, green flames burning around him as he continued siphoning the Cosmic Origin from the Land of Origin.
Overhead, dark clouds gathered, and bolts of purple lightning crashed down from the sky, striking at the aberration Saints and Spark alike.
This was the instinctive counterattack of the Land of Origin's will.
But the opponent was Spark — a War God-level powerhouse.
Sensing the terrifying aura of the descending lightning, Spark narrowed his eyes and snorted. A green energy shield materialized around him, blocking every bolt.
Then he clenched his fist, a savage grin twisting his features.
"So the will of the Land of Origin has grown this weak? With what little power you have left, how do you expect to stop us?"
Horrifying green radiance swirled around his fist. With a roar, he punched skyward.
The green shockwave surged upward, punching clean through the thunderclouds. A gaping hole appeared in the cloud bank, the lightning within churning uselessly before falling still.
The Human Race Gene Warriors who had been struggling to resist stared up in horror.
"What... what kind of monster is that?!"
"He broke through the lightning tribulation of the Land of Origin's will?!"
Despair crept across their faces.
The Elf Race fighters, emboldened by Spark's display, roared with renewed ferocity and pressed their assault on the fleeing Human warriors.
Then Spark's expression shifted. He whipped his head toward the horizon.
In that direction, a pillar of stellar light shot into the heavens, radiating a profoundly mysterious aura that spread in all directions. Even the Elf warriors here could sense it.
Spark wasn't the only one — the other Elf fighters momentarily abandoned their pursuit of the Human warriors, turning to stare at the dazzling stellar radiance in the distance.
Spark's brow furrowed deeply, bewilderment crossing his face.
"...What is that? The aura isn't particularly strong, but why does it carry such a profound resonance? It actually makes me feel... uneasy."
After a moment's deliberation, he gritted his teeth and decided to investigate.
But the instant he made that decision, he stopped short, wariness flooding his expression as he stared toward the starlight's source.
He sensed a powerful presence closing in rapidly.
A streak of starlight tore across the sky from the distance. Everywhere it passed, every aberration elf in its path was swept by the light and detonated on contact.
"How dare you!"
Spark's eyes went wide, and he bellowed in rage. He threw a punch, sending a blast of green force hurtling toward the incoming starlight.
**BOOM!**
The collision unleashed a deafening shockwave. Devastating ripples radiated outward, the pressure wave forming a storm that tore the sky apart and flipped layers of soil and rock from the earth below.
The Aberrant Beasts still lingering in the area were annihilated instantly, reduced to bloody fragments by the aftershock alone.
Within the dissipating shockwave, the starlight faded to reveal Nuxing's figure.
Despite the ferocity of the exchange, he was completely unscathed. He hovered in the air, regarding Spark with cold indifference.
"Just as I thought — the Elf Race's Aberration organization." His voice was flat and merciless. "Instead of staying in your own territory where you belong, you came here to die?"
Spark recognized him instantly, eyes widening.
"Nuxing?"
As a War God serving the Aberration organizations, Spark naturally had a working knowledge of the four races' War Gods. He was well familiar with Nuxing's profile.
According to his intelligence, Nuxing was no weakling — but he should still have been a notch below Spark in overall strength. So why now—
Spark's brow creased, his expression turning grim.
The aura he sensed from Nuxing was overwhelmingly dangerous.
*This doesn't match my intelligence at all. What happened?*
While Spark grappled with his confusion, Nuxing wasted no words.
Dense starlight swirled around his body, and a terrifying pressure radiated outward. In the next instant, orbs of stellar energy materialized around him, each one thrumming with light. His eyes flashed, and every orb shot toward Spark.
The energy orbs carried an aura so devastating that Spark's entire body went rigid.
His eyes widened in disbelief.
"How is this possible?!"
He could feel it — if he tried to tank this head-on, he'd be critically wounded.
*How can he be this strong?!*
There was no time to think. He moved to dodge.
But at that moment, threads of starlight wove through the void around him, forming a cage that locked him in place.
Panic flared in Spark's eyes. With no other option, green light erupted across his body.
"AAAARGH!!!"
He howled and unleashed everything he had.
Green radiance collided with the stellar energy orbs in a deafening explosion.
The resulting shockwave dwarfed the previous exchange.
Nuxing hovered within his cocoon of starlight, preparing to press his attack, when a battered figure burst from the explosion.
It was Spark — his left arm and right leg torn away, nowhere to be seen. He looked thoroughly wrecked.
Yet the green molten energy flowing across his body now pulsed with a deeper, more intense glow, and his aura had surged well beyond its earlier level.
"How is this possible?! How did you get so much stronger?!" Spark snarled through clenched teeth, eyes locked on Nuxing.
Nuxing let out a derisive scoff. He certainly wasn't going to explain that his power had surged thanks to Lu Yuan's Law phenomenon.
He swept his hand forward, and another volley of stellar energy orbs blazed toward Spark.
Sensing the devastating aura within each orb, green light erupted frantically across Spark's body. He braced himself and collided with the orbs once more.
**BOOM BOOM BOOM!!**
The instant the explosions rang out, a blurred shadow shot from the point of impact and plunged into a nearby Spatial Rift.
